Fluid Bed Dryers
Industries : Chemical
Fluid Beds can be used for processing most types of powdered products.
FEATURES
The Fluid Bed is often used for drying and cooling of powder. The use of a Fluid Bed enables adjustment of process parameters in order to achieve a superior overall drying economy and powder quality. The Fluid Bed is also ideal for other kinds of powder treatment such as mixing, agglomeration, dust binding and instantizing. With our Fluid Bed equipment you can produce a wide range of powders for the dairy, food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
Fluid Bed processes include drying, agglomeration, spray coating, cooling, dedusting and lecithination. We offer batch and continuous fluid beds, as well as fluid beds to be integrated into multi-stage spray drying plants.
With more than 800 Fluid Bed installations, SPXÂ FLOW combines experience and cutting-edge technology into added-value solutions for our customers.
Function and principle of operation:
Using intimate air-to-product contact, fluid beds are designed to ensure good heat transfer coefficients and to avoid degradation reactions in heat-sensitive products. Processing is performed in a single step or as part of a multistage drying operation.
