APV Aseptic Pressure Relief Single Seat Valves - UFMS4
Industries : Chemical
The UFMS4 valve is an Aseptic Pressure Relief Valve, used to protect pumps and related equipment from pressure spikes downstream. It can relieve pressure from 0-10 bar and includes controls for monitoring pressure relief events and actuating the valve during clean in place. Vital for maintaining aseptic conditions and ensuring product quality and safety in processes where sterility is paramount and pressure relief is necessary.
FEATURES
The UFMS4 aseptic pressure relief valve is essential for maintaining system sterility, particularly in environments where contamination poses significant risks. It is crucial in processes requiring a sterile environment, preventing contamination while relieving excess pressure.
Benefits:
Optimum cleanability
Β·ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ No limitation on stroke due to seat lift actuator; full opening cross-section is available during cleaning
Β·ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ 3-A approved and designed to EHEDG guidelines for hygienic operation
Minimize Operational Downtime
Β·ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Enhance control for improved response to pressure relief events; facilitated by proximity switches or control unit feedback
Β·ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ All valves feature a seat lifting function to open the valve during cleaning operation reducing downtime
Optimize Process Efficiency
Β·ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Protects pumps with an external over pressure relief valve. If the pump discharge pressure exceeds the preset cracking pressure, the valve will open to provide a relief path.
Β·ΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύΜύ Choose from a range of options to standardize operations, available in nominal diameters from DN25 to DN100 and ISO 1β to 4

Operating Principle of Aseptic Diaphragm Valve
The opening and closing of the valve is performed either by a pneumatic actuator or manually by means of a crank. APV UFMS4 aseptic pressure relief valves use a standard shut-off type disc for closing against product and are suitable for aseptic applications.
The APV UFMS4 relief valve opens when the pressure in the outlet increases above the set point of the valve in over pressure conditions. This prevents pumps from producing excess pressure which can cause a pipeline to burst. Over pressure conditions can also cause damage to coupling, rotors, rotor casing, and pumps shafts.
During opening and closing, the TFM diaphragm is continuously supported by a unique fan support system, which relieves process pressure on the diaphragm, thus protecting it against overstress and/or pressure spikes.
This system significantly increases diaphragm reliability and lifetime. In the event of a damaged diaphragm or o-ring, this is directly visible at the leakage indication which is located at the yoke are. The medium will escape through the provided plugs which are intended for this purpose. This affords you the opportunity to promptly intervene to mitigate contamination.
